The 612000 series hazardous materials warning signs were developed specifically for professional use in the transport of hazardous materials. Thanks to the patented pull-out mechanism, hazard numbers (Kemler numbers) and UN numbers can be replaced quickly, safely, and easily—without the need for any tools.
As shown in the animation, the right-hand side rail of the warning sign is simply pulled outward. This opens the guide rail, into which the orange numeral elements—which are also patented—can be inserted or replaced. The side rail is then pushed back in and securely locked into place. The result is a permanently stable and precise mounting of all the numbers in place.
This system offers a key advantage, particularly for companies that transport various types of hazardous materials: The labeling can be adapted to the specific shipment in just a few seconds. This saves time in day-to-day operations while also minimizing the risk of incorrect labeling.

The 611000 Series hazardous materials warning signs were specifically designed for demanding applications where the highest standards of safety and reliability are required for labeling. This design has proven particularly effective in rail freight transport and on freight cars.
During shunting, as well as when starting and braking, strong impact loads often occur when railcars collide. Conventional pull-out systems can open unintentionally under these conditions. Based on this practical experience, Regoplast® developed the utility model-protected 611000 series featuring an innovative hinged latch. Extensive testing has shown that this locking mechanism remains reliably closed even under high mechanical stress and securely holds the hazard and UN numbers in place.
Replacing the numeral elements is still a simple and time-saving process. After opening the hinged clasp, the orange numerals are slid into the guide rail from the right side as usual. The side bar is then closed again and securely locked so that all elements are firmly in place.

The single-material hazardous goods warning panel from Regoplast®, suitable for the hazardous goods warning panel substructure “Hamburg”, is subject to our high quality standards, as are all other Regoplast® products. This single-material panel has no folds and can therefore be easily inserted into the “Hamburg” warning panel substructure. It also proves in tests and practical trials that it meets the requirements of ADR/RID.

The warning signs must be clearly visible and securely attached to the vehicle. Depending on the type of transport, they are generally located on the front and rear of the vehicle or on the transport unit. The markings must be clearly legible at all times, must not be obscured, and must not detach from the vehicle even in the event of an accident.
The hazard number—also known as the Kemler number—describes the primary hazard of a substance. For example, it indicates whether a substance is flammable, toxic, corrosive, or oxidizing. When combined with the UN number, it allows for rapid identification of the hazardous material being transported.
Regular replacement is not required. However, warning signs must be clearly legible, undamaged, and in compliance with applicable regulations at all times. If they are damaged, heavily soiled, or no longer clearly recognizable, they should be replaced.
